Slab or prehung?

The right installation starts with the opening.

A slab is fitted into a sound existing jamb. A prehung unit replaces the door and its frame as one assembly. Photos and measurements confirm which path fits.

01

Slab door

The door panel is prepared for hinges, bore, strike, fit, and operation inside a compatible existing jamb.

02

Prehung unit

The door arrives in a frame. The opening must be measured, prepared, shimmed, fastened, aligned, and tested.

Current labor prices

Choose the door type first.

Prices load from the live Exoserva catalog. Each covers one door in a compatible standard opening; opening repair, materials, delivery, disposal, and finish work stay separate.

Straight answers

Door installation questions, answered.

Do you install interior and exterior doors?

Yes. The installation menu covers interior and exterior slabs, prehung units, closet or bifold doors, and compatible French or double-door units.

Can you work on a door with a glass insert?

Yes, when the work is about alignment, hinges, hardware, the frame, threshold, trim, or weather sealing. We do not repair or replace the glass itself.

How does the online review work?

Start with your ZIP code, door type, and a short description. The request flow or the first reply will tell you which photos or measurements are needed.

Are doors and hardware included in the labor price?

No, unless the written scope says otherwise. Doors, hardware, paint or stain, delivery, and disposal stay separate from the published labor prices.

Where does Knock Knock Contractor accept requests?

Residential and commercial door requests are accepted from selected ZIP codes within Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and San Francisco County. Location and schedule are confirmed before a visit.

What happens if hidden damage appears?

Work pauses. The condition is documented and the scope is revised in writing before any additional work is approved.
